Scottsdale council rejects bid for medical-marijuana bakery

 
The Scottsdale City Council has turned down a request to open a medical-marijuana bakery in the Scottsdale Airpark.

Pure Bliss Premium Medibles sought a conditional-use permit to operate the medical-marijuana kitchen at a site near Redfield and Hayden roads, which previously was approved for two dispensaries that never opened.

Arizona targets lax medical marijuana doctors | Arizona Capitol Times


Arizona health officials are looking to root out physicians who are improperly recommending medical marijuana for patients who claim to suffer from chronic pain.

As part of the effort, the state Department of Health Services wants to collect more nuanced information about those patients with chronic pain, The Arizona Republic reported in a story published Saturday.
